Urine Tech: MBTA utilizing science & tech to keep their elevators clean

The MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) is deploying a new program to address the urine problem in all elevators across along their stations.

Most of us don't take the MBTA elevators for one reason, the urine smell. Hence why the MBTA, according to Boston Herald, is launching a pilot program this summer to launch a combine tech and science to that will detect urine smell and deploy cleaning crew onsite to clean the elevator in question A.S.A.P. This has been an issue for decades in Massachusetts where most disable people have had to endure unsanitary means of transportation. First published on June 12, 2022
